Why do we educate?
Educating is for the end of becoming good. Virtue formation is integral to classical education, and we seek to embody, model, and grow in the virtues that we want our students to cultivate.
We are made in the image of God; therefore, we can think and create like He does.
In the spirit of the classical tradition, we seek to emphasize poetic knowledge as well as intellectual knowledge.
What is poetic knowledge?
It is a mode of learning through the senses, embodied knowledge, and learning by using the body. Some examples are gardening, singing, crafts, and cooking.
Right acting leads to right thinking.
What is intellectual knowledge?
It is a mode of learning by reasoning, reading, and thinking.
Right thinking leads to right acting.
